This is a fine set of 12 dinner knives in their original box of the “Marly” pattern. Knives are 10 1/2 inches long in Silverplate, and made by the famous Christofle company of France. Christofle was founded in 1830 and is known for aesthetics and workmanship, which gained them the patronage of royalty and heads of state, including King Louis-Philippe and Napoleon III.
The knives are in very good condition, with common signs of use.
